(More customer reviews)First, let me start out by admitting that I am a tad fanatical about my tweezers. I have tried many different types, and have definite opinions about what works and what doesn't.
My favorite tweezers had always been the Rubis ones with the point, but they would invariably get unaligned after a while, and I would have to throw them away. Even their slanted tweezer would eventually lose its grip. And these are expensive items, so it's frustrating to say the least to have to throw them away to get new ones.
So I thought I'd try these tweezers, which are half the price, and have a polymer tip (a type of flexible plastic) that almost feels like rubber. I was very skeptical, to say the least, because I thought you'd need something incredibly sharp to really grasp short or fine hairs.
Well, they work! Perfectly. I've only been using them for a couple of weeks, but they are every bit as effective as the more expensive brands.
I am hoping that these tips will stay sharp and aligned, and that they will hold their grasp for a long time. If in the next few months I discover that they don't, I will come back here and say so. But meanwhile - highly recommended. (And the polymer tips means that you can bring them on airplanes without the security people giving you suspicious looks! A plus!)edit - Wanted to add that I've now been using the tweezers for a while. Be sure to put the plastic cap on them when not in use, because the tips can become unaligned if you don't. I am still giving these tweezers the thumbs up, but like regular metal tipped tweezers, they become a little less efficient with time.
