(More customer reviews)My wife cuts my hair regularly, and we have been using a Wahl brand home clipper kit for years with good results. This 8040 trimmer was purchased to replace the built-in plastic trimmer on our Wahl model CNT-M hair clipper that broke. So far so good with this trimmer. It doesn't cut as close as the chintzy built-in plastic trimmer that broke, but on the plus side it has plenty of power (AC), seems well built, and is very easy to use.
I knocked off one star because I wished it shaved just a bit closer. All said - I'm satisfied for the price (30 bucks on Amazon), which was about 40% less than the local beauty supply store.
