(More customer reviews)I looked locally for a standard Atra handle, but found that Gilette no longer sells them in the US because they're more interested in pushing the expensive multi-blade razor. All I need is a basic shave, and I'm not interested in paying $3.00 a cartridge for the latest 6-bladed razor. The local stores all carry replacement blades for about 20 cents each, vs. $2 or more for a multiblade cartridge.
The Vector is just an Atra handle that's been rebranded for sale in other countries where the multiblade shaving market is much less lucrative. If you miss your old Atra, or you just want good basic double-edge razor that's economical to use, this is an excellent shaver.
