The batteries it came with seem to just never wear out--and I've had this almost a year now! The main handle (onto which you put the attachments for facial hair trimming) fits nicely into your hand to give you the most control over trimming beard and moustache hair. The results are quite good.
I use this most often to trim the hair on and around my ears--I guess I'm showing my years here--and it always gently shaves the hair off with little effort. Don't hold it too close to your skin, however; there's the small chance that you could accidentally give yourself a minor cut. The beard and moustache trimming attachments fit onto the main handle easily and they do a great job of getting my facial hair to have that ever-so-slightly scruffy, two-day old shave look that many men like to have. If you want to give yourself a regular shave, however, this product won't do--you'll need a razor for that.
The instruction manual makes everything easy to understand and there are instructions in Spanish as well. There is even an order form if you wish to order replacement attachments. Replacing the three AA batteries is a breeze. The package comes with a small tube of lubricant; oil the blades on the main handle about once a month to keep them in the best of shape. Do NOT use this product near water and if an attachment breaks order a replacement--you don't want any damage to your skin or this product.
Overall, there's really nothing bad to say about this Conair beard and moustache trimmer. It also does a great job of trimming the hairs in and around my ears; and I suppose that if you're careful it can get rid of hairs around your nose as well.
