(More customer reviews)Oster clippers last forever, I suspect, if you oil them, but the original combs were relatively fragile. These new combs appear to be unbreakable nylon (just a guess because it feels like the same material that unbreakable regular combs are made from). That makes them a little more flexible (not so much that you risk a closer cut) and slightly harder to mount, but unless I'm missing something, they might actually outlast the clippers. My clipper is model 284-01 Series B. Sizes and shapes exact same as the original combs. I found matching the series and head profile to replacement combs to be confusing, but these combs (Oster Professional Products Part No. 76926-600) definitely fit at least my model (it says for Models 974, 284, 650, and 820 Adjustable Clippers on package). If it isn't clear from the photos, these combs are single-piece plastic (or nylon as it were), not the combs with the metal clips/mounts that some other clippers use.
